About the Language

Khah belongs to the Indo-Aryan family and is widely spoken by Khasha tribals living in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir like Khari, Neel Ramsu, Banihal, and Ramban tehsils. Besides, Khah speakers are also found in Lar Gulabgarh of Reasi district, Busht Chenani of Udhampur district, Marmat areas of Doda district , Khah, Khasali areas of Rajouri district, Bhatindi,Chhani, Sidhra etc hamlets of Jammu district and Islamabad, Kaprin of Anantnag district and Sheri of Baramula district.
