In 2022 February due to COVID, we were once again compelled to organize our yearly conference virtually. We are thankful to the Department of Linguistics and Contrastive Study of Tribal Languages, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak for organising the 10th International ELKL. The Keynote was delivered by John Peterson, Keil University while the valedictory lecture was given by Prof. Shobhana Chelliah, University of North Texas.
Prof. Peterson shared his field work experiences with the participants. He is currently involved in the pedagogical material development for some of the tribal languages of Jharkhand. During her talk Prof. Chelliah underlined the importance of language documentation, meta data creation and archiving. She talked about CoRSAL and how one can archive collected data on their website.
We received forty-five abstracts out of which thirty abstracts were selected for presentation and around twelve scholars took the membership of the society.
