12th International Conference of the Endangered and Lesser-Known Languages war organised by the Department of Linguistics, University of Kashmir at Srinagar in collaboration with CIIL, Mysore on 6th & 7th March 2024. Prof. P.K. Das, Head Dept of Linguistics, J.N.U., delivered the keynote lecture on “Issues in Revitalization of Non-scheduled Languages of a Challenge to NEP 2020”.

Scholars from different Universities like J.N.U., Aligarh Muslim University, Mumbai University, Lucknow University, and IIT Ropar & Goa attended and presented their work. There were discussions on various topics ranging from the typology of the 5th language family (Tai Kadai), The phonological pattern classification of Tibeto-Burman Languages of Nagaland, Navigating through a Linguistic complexity in Kudmali within Jharkhand, Odissa and West Bengal, Verb particle of Pashto to name a few. Three Plenary lectures were given by Prof. Shobhana Chelliah, Prof. Kakali Mukherji and Prof. Kavita Rastogi. 

Many participants supported us and bought tribal jewellery pieces and SEL souvenirs from our stall.
