Dr Rahi Soren, a PhD fellow at the School of Oceanographic Studies, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, gave an invited talk on ‘Santali Periodicals: An Insight into Indigenous Archiving Practices’ on January 19, 2024. She has a strong passion for cultural ecology, biodiversity conservation, and the development of sustainable ecosystems. During her talk, she shared in-depth insights into indigenous archiving practices and emphasized the crucial importance of preserving indigenous oceanographic knowledge.
