On 6th May 2022, Dr Bishakha Das, an independent researcher who has worked extensively on various languages of North-East India conducted a workshop on tones. She highlighted the nature of tone as well as its types . Taking examples from different languages she explained how a researcher can perceive this linguistic characteristic in the data while doing language documentation.
