Dr R. K. Rastogi Memorial Award
for the best paper on Endangered and Poorly Documented Languages (Phonetics & Phonology)
We are thrilled to introduce the inaugural Dr R. K. Rastogi Memorial Award, honouring excellence in research on endangered and poorly documented languages, specifically in phonetics and phonology. The Award instituted by Dr Kavita Rastogi seeks to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions to the study of languages that face the risk of extinction or lack comprehensive documentation in the field of Phonetics and Phonology.
Eligibility Criteria
Paper must be original research contributions in the field of phonetics and/or phonology
Research should focus on endangered or poorly documented languages, exploring aspects such as sound systems, pronunciation, prosody, etc.
Submissions from young scholars are welcome
Submitter must be the member of SEL
How to Submit
Please ensure that submissions adhere to the specified formatting guidelines
Do not forget to write Dr R. K. Rastogi Memorial Award on the first page
The deadline for submissions is 1st October and results will be announced on January 1st every year
Award Details
The selected paper will receive cash prize
In addition to recognition, the recipient will be awarded a certificate
The winning paper will be published in our e-journal Vaak Manthan
