SEL has started this project on the request of Mr. Tobdan, a native speaker of sTodpa language. In the beginning he introduced us with a group of ten different speakers who wanted to preserve their language and culture. But gradually a few of them showed their inability so presently the team is working with five native language speakers ( sTodpa, Tinan, Bunan/ Gahri, Spitian, Pattani). Online training workshops are being conducted to give them information regarding data collection, data recording, handling of equipment, file naming data transferring etc.

The objective of this project is to assist them in the maintenance, documentation and revitalization of their native languages.
