Swadesh Word List Project
Under this project we are collecting data for various small languages of India with the objective to create new data repository for mother tongues. The SEL team has been able to collect Swadesh Word List of 23 languages as of Feb 2022.
A copy of the Swadesh Word List (English + Hindi) has been provided to volunteer members with a request to submit data in their mother tongues in the following format –
- Audio + IPA + written form (in the script used by their community)
- Audio + written form (in the script used by their community)
- Audio only
